| | Maria's Bookshop Welcome, Booklover!
Maria's Bookshop is a downtown Durango favorite. It is a beautiful little bookshop with a mighty appetite for providing great books with both local and worldly authors. Over the years, Maria's Bookshop has played host to a great many authors, including Ed Abbey (who once described Maria's as "A uniquely elegant book emporium"), John Nichols, Terry Tempest Williams, Pam Houston, Sandra Dallas... the list goes on and on. Your shopping excursion is not complete until you visit this wonderful outpost of civilization. Tip: Ask for the "Owl in Monument Canyon". You will love the stories of local personalities by Durangoan H. Jackson Clark.
